Galenica was formed as part of a vision of the founders to collectively use the transformative power of AI for the good of society as a whole, and for Mozambique and Africa in particular.
We identified Healthcare access as an area that could be vastly improved using technology. Endemic problems like poverty, low literacy rates, infrastructure challenges, and political instability contribute to low life expectancy and poor health outcomes. This in turn leads to a vicious cycle of low productivity and poor economic prospects.
APOIO was created to improve population health outcomes with greater access to care & services. It will bridging the gap by providing a 24/7 resource for urban and rural communities in the region.
CIMPOGEST is part of a Mozambican family-owned group that comprises companies in the Manufacturing, Hospitality and Real Estate sectors.

The Enterprise Development Project, sponsored by the World Bank, a program to upgrade competitiveness of Mozambican companies by means of consultancy and training, funded by a grant sharing mechanism. 30,000+ people were trained in a wide variety of skills, and 2,000+ consultancy projects were carried out at a cost of US$10m.
Management Contract for the Grant Management Agent (GMA) for the National AIDS Council of Mozambique (CNCS). Commissioned by CNCS, funded by the World Bank.
Sector Specific Initiative to identify key growth sectors sponsored by the World Bank. This project was integrated with the Local Content project to improve the competitiveness of suppliers.
